“The world of classical music: great composers of opera”
This time, in our presentation on “The world of classical music” we were led to the opera auditorium to watch how this magnificent and composed art form -opera- was born and evolved throughout the ages.
We had the delight to enjoy the music of some of the major opera composers and watch short clips from the masterpieces of the kind, like Mozart’s Don Giovanni and the familiar to all of us Barber of Seville by Rossini. We also watched great opera singers, such as Maria Callas and Luciano Pavarotti, who blew us away with their melodious voices, performing some of the most well-known arias, such as Casta Diva, La donna e mobile and Nessun dorma to name but a few.
Our musical journey to the world of classical music continues… stay tuned to see where it will take us next!
