Our New Year celebration! – 13 Gennaio 2024

Every year our celebration is different. What does not change is the enthusiasm and the joy we feel during its preparation, but also when we welcome people, when we meet, discuss and exchange wishes, ideas and thoughts for the beginning of the New Year.

We would like to underline in the message of the year, as given by the President of the Omilos. The following is an excerpt from his speech:

“Every year at this time we give the message of the year for Omilos, for the members of Omilos, for what we are going to work on.[...] I think what we have to work on this year is the constant expansion of Omilos, but not only of Omilos, but of ourselves as well.  Our potential, our mental state, our psychological sphere, to expand them more and more, more and more substantially, more and more truly. This is what Omilos does. This is what Omilos always did. We are never going to stop trying to help.

As you know, everything that is done in Omilos is literally selfless, no one earns anything, no one gets paid, hardly do we get any ” bravo “. We all work at our jobs and then we come here and carry on our path. Everything you see here is totally selfless, nobody gets anything. No salary for the President, the Vice President, nobody, no travel expenses [...] But what counts is that we will never stop as a way of thinking, as an urging, to ask for constant broadening in all areas, otherwise the field stagnates. [...]

So the message for this year is continuous broadening.”

Constant broadening, αστεριξ και κλεοπατρα κομιξ Three days of spiritual healing sessions and healing meditation at Women. “More and more, more and more substantially, more and more truly”. Because… “that is what Omilos does. That is what Omilos always did.”

At our New Year’s celebration, among the distinguished writers who honored us with their presence was Mr. Angelos Gontikas. We share with you his words:

“I have to say what I have said many times before. Not only here, ovunque. I am more than excites and what I am most happy about is that I see that you have a lot of strength to do so much more. All this is very little compared to what you will do next, and you can do it! I congratulate you and thank you, because for all of us more or less when we come here, something beautiful passes inside us. I envy you!”

We also thank him from the bottom of our hearts…

Taking her turn to speak, the excellent litterateur Mrs Marianna Karamvali, who honored us with her presence along with her husband, poet and literary critic Dimitris Karamvalis, said among other things:

“…To be accepted abroad and in Frankfurt, you have done work. We who are engaged in writing must congratulate you. And first of all you honor literature in Greece. εσωτερικο σπυρι με πυον στα γεννητικα οργανα Health, who have been on this path for 40 anni, are particularly happy and this honours us very much. The book is our home, it is our soul, it is our heart, and art, which I see you are struggling with here too, and it helps people on so many levels. [...] I am also happy, I congratulate you for honouring our country and honouring the human being. People need art. I’ve told you before that many times we come here as if it were our home. And we touch and act as if it were our home…”

In his salutation the great litterateur Mt Vasilis Tsakiriglou congratulated Omilos for actualizing the word of the poets:

“My congratulations are a grain of sand in comparison to your huge work. We who take the pencil and write are usually utopists, we are theoretic one might say, and daydreamers. We live in a world and see its ugliness, we write it down, we denounce it and we dream of a much better world than the one we live in. You are the reality. You received the message from those who wrote and you work on it. You work for the dream we write about. Congratulations!"

The distinguished writer Mr Lambros Elias expressed in turn his light-filled wishes:

“Good evening, Happy New Year first of all. (…) Societies like the Omilos Eksipiretiton (i server’ Società) are very much ahead. εσωτερικο σπυρι με πυον στα γεννητικα οργανα Health (the writers) work with imagination, we want the unattainable possibly, the utopian, and Omilos puts into practice what we imagine and write about. Let’s say that on one side is theory – fantasy and on the other side is Omilos, that is action and everyday life. (…) I wish to Omilos to live for millennia, as long as the sun if possible, like the sun they have made in their mosaic with the chariot and Phaethon that constantly circulates in the Sky. Thank you.”

His special view of the work of Omilos shared with us the excellent writer Mr. Thanasis Frontistis:

“Prima di tutto, a happy new year, a good start, congratulations on the achievements of the past year, and best wishes for the work you want to accomplish this year and beyond. We who have often been with you here over the past few years, have been watching the quiet progress that is being made in Omilos. In the turbulent times we live in, calmness is a prime necessity. And that is what one feels when we enter this soace. The low tones you speak, the piercing smiles which the whole Group here addresses to us, have affected us and of course each one of us tries to function calmly so that we are able to pass into action. Your book Mr. President is an imperative “act calmly, for everything is simple”.(…) We continue to be with you as much as we can and we congratulate you on everything and wish you again a good year.”

The distinguished writer and painter Mrs. Leta Koutsochera wished us from her heart:

“Good evening Andreas, Voula, all the dear members of Omilos, whom I really love because we have been together for years. Happy New Year, peaceful, beautiful, human, creative. I also wanted to say to all the friends here “Happy New Year and health and beauty and love”. About your book “…simple isn’t it?”, Andreas, I have said, I have written, I have read it all, I was captivated, I took notes, I sent them to you, I just made an approach to your book. It really gave me beauty, amare, humanity, simplicity and that we can all reach the unsurpassable. This is very important. Now I just wanted to remember, to say my thought at this moment; I imagine the poet, the philosopher, the Master, Dimitris Kakalidis at this moment somewhere in a corner watching us and rejoicing in all that you have done. Thank you very much!”

The poet and lyricist Mr Spyros Zacharatos, whose literary work we will present next Saturday, 27/01 at Omilos, wished:

“Good evening, a happy, creative year to you all. I express again my admiration for Omilos Eksipiretiton (i server’ Società). (…) You have filled the desert of our time with oases and may you give us the raft to sail the seas of our dreams. Infinite gratitude. Health to all.”
