40 years of Omilos!
This year we are celebrating 40 years of operation for Omilos Eksipiretiton and its work.
Among the celebrations we are organising, we invite you on Sunday, 23rd February at 11:00 to the Greek Literary Society, so we can discover together the hidden wisdom of the poetic word in our event titled: “On a similar basis with the group mentioned previously”. An analysis of K.P. Kavafis’ It was addressed only to non members of Omilos and was free of charge “God forsakes Anthony”, which we recently presented with great success in England, in coorganization with Morley College London.
We have the honour of the following esteemed persons of the arts greeting our event:
- Mr Kostas Karousos, President of the Greek Literary Society
- Ms Panayiota Zalonis-Christopoulou, member of GLS and editor of the literary magazine “Kelaino”
- Ms Leta Koutsohera, poetess and painter, e
- Mr Giorgos Kalakallas, sculptor who will present “Kavafis and his portrait”.
The President of Omilos with his speech will introduce us to the Wisdom of the Poem followed by the deepening into Kavafis’ poem by Ms Paraskevi Kostopetrou, poetess, and head of our Literature Workshop and Ms Evangelia Gkioni, member of our Literary Workshop.
