Angelina Papathanasiou asks

- Good evening, Mrs. Kostopetrou. Thank you very much for this interview. Your first poetry collection “Eu estarei aqui” is published by Megas Seirios Publications, and you have received awards in international literary competitions. How did writing come into your life and what role does it play today?

PK: Dear Mrs Papathanasiou. Thank you very much for this interview and for your review on my poetry collection and generally on books of “MEGA SEIRIOS PUBLICATIONS “.

The magazine “Thematofylakes Logo Texnon” delve into the works of contemporary writers and enthusiastically discover the deepest and most meaningful things each author has said; and they do this with simplicity and seriousness together! Congratulations to the entire team for your multifaceted action!

I have been involved with writing since my school days, and in recent years, from my position as the Head of the publishing house “MEGAS SEIRIOS”, I have been involved with the works of other writers and the organization of literary events presenting their work.

It is an important part of my daily life, unfortunately not as much as I would like, because my professional activity is very demanding at the moment.

- Your first collection of poems includes twenty-five poems. What was the criterion for the selection of the poems?

PK: These poems deal with various issues that concern us on a daily basis, and in relation to these issues, I attempt a reference to higher ideas, a redemptive ascension The criterion for the collection was representativeness in basic themes.

- Among the poems, I singled out “Every day”. It talks about the love and kindness we should give to those around us every day. Really, how different would our world be if we were to constantly seek the light and not the darkness? Is it easy in practice?

PK: My Master used to say that a conscious person is called upon to constantly give light to the darkness. I would say it is neither easy nor difficult. Is it easy to let go in the darkness of a thought for example?

-  Apart from poetry, you have also been involved in short stories. Is there any other literary genre that fascinates you and that you would like to engage in in the future?

PK: Yes, I would like to get involved with the essay, the novel, etc. Dec, I would like to get involved in analyzing the hidden wisdom in the works of other writers and arts in general.

- Who are your favorite authors? Do you have the desired time for reading books?

PK: I always read a book, although my time is limited.

I have many different favorite authors, I honestly can’t pick out some without doing others a disfavor at the moment.

- What are your next writing projects?

PK: A next poetry collection and short stories.

- Just before we conclude the interview, would you like to say something to our readers?

PK: The book is true, direct, real. It is companionship and an opening of mind and heart. May they continue to read and engage in the possibilities offered by the magazine”Thematofylakes Logo Texnon”!

 - Thank you so much for your time. I wish you all the best of creative endeavors.
