Literature night at Omilos, 7/11/2021

7/11/2021, Sunday evening. Omilos’ doors opened to welcome distinguished litterateurs and friends of Omilos, exceptional spiritual people of Literature and the Arts.

Our event was of course «covid free», with all the necessary measures. The vaccination certificates were scanned, the antiseptics were placed, we wore our protective masks, but even those couldn’t hide from our eyes and speech the joy, love and faith in yhe Human Being and its evolution
“We thought of doing an event after all this time and who else could we invite first? But the people of spirit of course, you…
You know, when I went for the first time to the founder of Omilos, the Master, en 1985, I asked him: “Master, what is the spiritual man after all?” and he replied to me: “He is the trailblazer. The worker of spirit”.
“And what should we want?” “Nothing, just to offer to the others”.
We believe in the group and we believe that if the spiritual field is not expressed and actualized, then redemption cannot come».
With this words the President of Omilos set the tone of our literature event, in an especially nice and warm environment.

“Each one of us,when we start going somewhere, we usually say that we go to a “company of spiritual people”, but Omilos is not only that. I didn’t see a company of spiritual people. I saw a group of trailblazers, a group of people who dig and open roads for many things. Aside from literature, aside from the visual arts, they hug all arts, all sciences and culture. Congratulations! I can’t say anything else. I humbly thank you.”

«When I first came to Omilos it was the President of Omilos that saw in me the potential and insisted for me to write poetry.I didn’t believe that I could. Thankfully he rejected many of my poems and in in this way I managed to truly unite with Poetry. Mr President, I thank you very much!»

It was an event full of interesting discussions about the work of Omilos in Greece and abroad in Art and Culture, with the presentation of videos about the founder of Omilos, poet and philosopher, Dimitris Kakalidis, with recitations of poems by distinguished spiritual people who jonired us, but also with ideas, plans, visions for the future.
