This year, for the third consecutive time,we participated in person in the 77th International Bookfair in Frankfurt

The books of our publishing house “Megas Seirios pubblicazioni” were exhibited in the pavilion of the Greek Ministry of Culture. During the bookfair we had appointments with more than 40 punlishers and literary agents from all over the world!

Great Britain, France, Germany,USA, Canada, Korea,Filippines, China,Japan, Brazil, Scandinavian countries, Turchia,Italy, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates,India, Spain are indicatevely some of the countries we spoke with.

And because time was not enough, we have already set online appointments and meetings to speak with all those we didn’t manage to discuss during the Bookfair, whilst at the same time being in contact with those we have already spoken to proceed with our discussions and collaborations!

During the first week of October 2025 we participated in the 2nd European Biblio/ Poetry Therapy Conference in Finland with two presentations, one on Chorodromena and the other on the method of deepening into poetry and literature with which we work at the Omilos Eksipiretiton (i server’ Società).

Nella prima presentazione, the President of Omilos spoke about Omilos’s position that every person can be well and explained how, with Chorodromena, we experience the power of stillness along with the breadth and freedom of movement, thus learning to live life to the fullest! This was followed by a video about the work of Omilos and then a presentation on Chorodromena, with lots of photos and videos, which sparked many questions and interesting discussions during our talk and afterwards.

The next day, during our second presentation, we referred to Omilos’ method of deepening our understanding of poetry.

The Wisdom of Poetry was revealed in our talk entitled “The group’s objective was for the participants to become as much as possible aware of fear’s nature and causes. On a similar basis with the group mentioned previously. Where Poetry and Life meet,” which was opened by the President of Omilos.

Referring to Omilos’ method on deepening into poetry, he said that poems are created by the poets like flowers, so that Poetry can then be offered to the entity of humanity as a wreath of flowers. This was followed by an in-depth study of the poem “God Forsakes Antony” by C. P. Cavafy, quali, as can be seen in the photos below, sparked a lively discussion with questions, pensieri, and impressions not only about the method of analysis, but also about Omilos’ position on the Human Being and Life!

This is one of the largest events in the recent years organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, at the premises of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition-Helexpo.

During the first day, we participated in the events of the 2nd International Conference of Book Professionals, and at the same time, as part of the B2B Professionals program organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture for Greek and foreign publishers, we held numerous meetings with representatives of foreign publishing houses and literary representatives from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and other countries.

In the following days, the meetings continued with a number of publishers and literary representatives from America, Brazil, France, Germany, Mexico, India, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, who showed great interest in our books and the work of Omilos as a whole, with many proposals and discussions for cooperation.

Special mention should be made to the offer we received for four of our books from the Hanover Square Press publishing house of the HARPERCOLLINS US Group, one of the five largest in the world.

We also had the honour and pleasure of receiving an invitation to participate in the New Delhi International Book Fair in India from the representative of the Ministry of Education of India, in the framework of the fellowship programme there, to meet Indian publishers and explore possible collaborations.

At the Bookfair we met and talked with the Deputy Minister of Culture Mr. Christos Dimas, while we also met the President of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture Mr. Nikos Koukis, with whom we discussed the work of Omilos and expressed to him our congratulations for the excellent organization of the bookfair.

Infine, we had the pleasure of meeting the President of the Sharjah Book Authority, the country of honour at the I.B.F, A.E. Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, founder and CEO of the Kalimat Group, the largest publishing group in the Arab countries, with whom we arranged a meeting to discuss prospects for cooperation.

The Department of Letters of the Ministry of Culture sent us a thank-you letter for the donation of books by our publications MEGAS SEIRIOS PUBLICATIONS to the Library “Andreas Metsios” of the Greek Community in Emilia Romagna.

After each International Book Fair in which we participate, we donate our books to the Greek Community of the region.

So this time, after the 61st International Children’s Book Fair in Bologna, our books were donated to the Greek Community there.

After our successful participation in large International Book Fairs (Frankfurt, Madrid, Londra, Sarza, Bologna, etc.), the President of Omilos, together with a group of members, traveled to Abu Dhabi (April 26th to 30th 2024), as our publications “Megas Seirios Publications” were the official guests from Greece of the Ministry of Culture of the United Arab Emirates & the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, among 11 other recognized and large publishing houses and literary agents worldwide.

The invitation concerned both our participation in the International Congress of Arabic Publishing and Creative Industries held on April 28, as well as in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, with the aim of bringing together publishers and people who engage with the book from all over the world.

As specifically stated in a post by one of the organizers of the International Congress of Arabic Publishing and Creative Industries:

“ …get to know MEGAS SEIRIOS Publications, the Greek, fondato nel 1983; its publications diversify philosophy, letteratura, narratives and poems, aiming to contribute to enriching the knowledge of the reader and the creations of Greek writers.”

The next day, Aprile 29, was followed by an official visit to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair together with Ministry officials.

Continuous meetings were taking place every day with publishers and book agents from all over the world, who expressed great interest and enthusiasm for our books, with discussions concerning the work of Omilos and our publishing house in general, and with many upcoming collaborations and new openings!

Publishers from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, India, China, Taiwan and other countries were interested in taking our titles for translation & distribution, while several expressed the interest to invite us to their country to talk about Omilos’ practical philosophy, as well as to hold presentations of our books and other cultural events.

As part of Greece’s participation in the International London Book Fair, the Greek Ministry of Culture held many events and Omilos participated with great joy in the dynamic presence of Greece and the continuous promotion of Greek Culture.

More specifically, on Wednesday 13th of March 2024, we supported and attended the Poetry Event «Greek and British Female Poets talk about Poetry and read their Poems» at The Hellenic Centre, which was held with the support of Omilos Eksipiretiton.

We share some candid shots of the President of Omilos Eksipiretiton with the General Secretary of Contemporary Culture Dr Doundoulaki and the Director of the Directorate of Letters of the Ministry of Culture Mrs Papathanasiou as well as other contributors of the event.

The President and members of Omilos as well as the members of the Association of our group in London, attended the event at The Hellenic Centre, whilst at a night like this, we could not but have with us the Hellenic-TV with its selected executives Mr Giorgos Lingos, Director and Mr. Vasilis Panayis, journalist-actor.

The President of Omilos Eksipiretiton gave a detailed interview to the Greek TV channel.

Our publications participate in the 61st Intaernational Children’s Book Fair in Bologna, 8-11 Aprile 2024!

With great joy we are hosted with our fairy-tale “A line and a dot and a miracle on the spot!” at the pavilion of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. For the second consecutive year we take part in this major international fair which is dedicated to children’ s books!

The London Book Fair! During The London Book Fair that took place on the 12-14 Marzo 2024, the books of Megas Seirios Publications were hosted at the booth of the Greek Ministry of Culture.

At the same time, we had a lot of appointments with publishers and book agents from abroad (we can mention indicatively three from the USA but also Canada, Denmark, Scandinavia, United Arab Emirates, India and countries of Southern Asia) and we are already proceeding with publishing and promoting our books outside Greece.

Infatti, our books will also be translated in arabic from publishing houses in Saudi Arabia, which will circulate these worldwide in the arabic language. This in addition to the fact that they will distribute some of our titles in English in the United Arab Emirates and nearby countries.

Ten of our titles will be published and circulate from an indian publishing house in India and countries of South Asia, while in the meantime, we expect news from other publishing houses as well!

Omilos Eksipiretiton (The Server’s Society), under the auspices of which our publications work, was there and participated actively in this very important event for the Ministry of Culture, not only by exhibiting our books in the book fair but also supporting the Greek Ministry of Culture in organizing the exceptional poetic event – tribute to Greek and British poetesses at the Hellenic Centre on Wednesday 13/3.

The Greek channel Hellenic-TV and its exceptional members Mr Vasilis Panayis and Mr Giorgos Lingos were there covering impecably the event, as always.

After the conclusion of our participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2023, we donated our books to the Greeks of the Diaspora there.

The Greek Elementary School of Frankfurt sent us thank-you letters for the donation of the books.
