This year, for the third consecutive time,we participated in person in the 77th International Bookfair in Frankfurt

The books of our publishing house “Megas Seirios Publications” were exhibited in the pavilion of the Greek Ministry of Culture. During the bookfair we had appointments with more than 40 punlishers and literary agents from all over the world!

Great Britain, France, Germany,USA, Canada, Korea,Filippines, China,Japan, Brazil, Scandinavian countries, Turquia,Italy, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates,India, Spain are indicatevely some of the countries we spoke with.

And because time was not enough, we have already set online appointments and meetings to speak with all those we didn’t manage to discuss during the Bookfair, whilst at the same time being in contact with those we have already spoken to proceed with our discussions and collaborations!

During the first week of October 2025 we participated in the 2nd European Biblio/ Poetry Therapy Conference in Finland with two presentations, one on Chorodromena and the other on the method of deepening into poetry and literature with which we work at the Omilos Eksipiretiton (Servidores’ Sociedade).

Na primeira apresentação, the President of Omilos spoke about Omilos’s position that every person can be well and explained how, with Chorodromena, we experience the power of stillness along with the breadth and freedom of movement, thus learning to live life to the fullest! This was followed by a video about the work of Omilos and then a presentation on Chorodromena, with lots of photos and videos, which sparked many questions and interesting discussions during our talk and afterwards.

The next day, during our second presentation, we referred to Omilos’ method of deepening our understanding of poetry.

The Wisdom of Poetry was revealed in our talk entitled “God Forsake Anthony. The poet. Where Poetry and Life meet,” which was opened by the President of Omilos.

Referring to Omilos’ method on deepening into poetry, he said that poems are created by the poets like flowers, so that Poetry can then be offered to the entity of humanity as a wreath of flowers. This was followed by an in-depth study of the poem “God Forsakes Antony” by C. P. Cavafy, que, as can be seen in the photos below, sparked a lively discussion with questions, pensamentos, and impressions not only about the method of analysis, but also about Omilos’ position on the Human Being and Life!

In this book, you will find ten short and easy exercises for children, which can be used for a multitude of purposes. For playtime, for relaxation, for addressing matters they might be struggling with. They can be done at any time during the day and as many times as you like.

They are simple and fun exercises, without complicated instructions, que – depending on the age- can even be done by the children on their own, in their free time, when they want to take a break or… simply when it’s raining!

But they can just as easily be done together with their parents, their friends or in the classroom with their teachers. For the younger children, parents and teachers can take many ideas and inspiration for games and creativity.

One day. One pirouette of the Earth around its axis in its eternal dance.

One day, one of the 31,025 days that a person with a life expectancy of 85 years will live. One of the 4,745 days that a dog or cat will live, with a life expectancy of 13 years.

A whole life for a butterfly that emerges from its cocoon in the morning and dies in the everning, having lived everythiing that other species live over the course of years.

A day that is usually routine, as important events do not happen every day. Or do they happen and we don’t notice?

To what extent do we odserve thee events that happen to us and around us? Do we live our livees consiously or unconsciously? When we make a decision, when an iinvisible change occurs that will deepen over the years, are we really there, or do we only think we are?

We’ve just received the first book with poems for children from our publishing house, MEGAS SEIRIOS PUBLICATIONS, with poems by Vasiliki Ergazaki and illustrations by Valia Skalomenou!

The book has been published in English under the title “Sun-flutterings”, while we are also expecting the copies of the Greek edition very soon!

On Friday May 30th 2025, the President of Omilos was awarded by the Foundation of Giannis Koutsoheras & Lena Strefi Koutsohera and the Newspaper of the Arts, Letters and Spiritual Thought “Noumas”, in an event at the Spiritual Centre of the municipality of Athens.

The honorary award was given by the President of the Koutsoheras Foundation, Mrs Leta Koutsohera, as an acknowledgment and recognition of the longstanding and selfless work of the President of Omilos for the spiritual evolution of the Human Being and his offer to Culture.

The International Cultural Non-Profit Organisation “TO KAFENIO TON IDEON” (The Café of Ideas) held its 41st awards ceremony, where it awarded the golden medals “Alexander the Great” and “Vergina” to eminent entities and personalities of Literature, the Arts, the Sciences, Sports and Contribution to Society, from Greece and from all around the world.

In a beautiful event at the Town Hall of Salamina, Grécia, the President of the “Kafeneio ton Ideon”, The room at the Hellenic Centre was filled with the Logos, distinguished writer, journalist and director, along with his associates, awarded the “Alexander the Great” medal to Omilos, thereby recognising the work Omilos does and its contribution to society.

Mr. Nasos Maniatis, the Secretary of Omilos’ Board of Directors, received the award for Omilos and read the greeting – thank you speech of the President of Omilos, as he himself was unable to attend.

“Good evening to all,

Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances, I was unable to attend tonight, but I would like to share some thoughts with you.

For this reason, em Omilos Eksipiretiton, we work steadily for the establishment and expansion of the Greek culture, showcasing the work of contemporary Greek poets and writers through events we carry out both in Greece and abroad, at which events we not only present their work but, more importantly, we deepen into it, thus bringing out the hidden wisdom that exists in the words and mSr.nings. Mr. Koubatis, in fact, is one of the distinguished spiritual people of our country whose work we have presented.

But the work of older writers has also been featured and continues to be featured through the analyses of their poems and short stories in our books, while at the same time, we are constantly publishing new books, which we are happy to tell you are being translated and distributed worldwide. We have already reached agreements for the exclusive translation and distribution of our books in Arabic for the entire world, for the co-publication of our books with a well-known publisher in India and all of South Asia, and we are also in talks with publishers from the United States and various European countries who are interested in our books.

There is a lot that is happening… We are participating in international conferences, writing academic articles, our method for analysing poetry is being used by teachers in schools, and we give talks and presentations on the Arts, the Sciences and Philosophy.

Contudo, I would like to take a couple of minutes to focus particularly on one of our activities within the scope of Omilos’ selfless offer. And that is our theatrical group. A group that, since the founding of Omilos in 1980, has been preparing and presenting selflessly children’s theatrical performances in institutions, orphanages, children’s hospitals, homes for people with autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility issues, etc. The group goes to those places where children who, for whatever reason, cannot easily access entertainment, setting up an entire theatrical performance, bringing to them the magic of theatre and fairytales, not because we are doing some charity work, but because we see and believe in the inner strength of each child, regardless of the difficulties they may be facing at that particular moment.

Assim, I would like to greet tonight’s event and thank you for this award, porque, in addition to honouring us by recognising the work of Omilos, this institution gives prominence to the work of individuals and entities working for Greek culture and the evolution of the Human Being.

The refereed work on the Kakalidis Method done by Mr. Lazaros Koumentakis, director of the Ano Liosia Special Gymnasium – High School and Kostas Skalomemos, Assistant Professor in Birmingham University, was first announced with great success at the first international conference of the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults, an academic body that promotes and disseminates theoretical and practical research on adult education in Europe, held at the Open University in Patras 5-7 Julho 2023, intitulado “Reimagining transformative and emancipatory adult education for a world to come”.

The proceedings of the conference have recently been published, including the article “The Kakalidis Method of Analysis as a Transformative Practice in a Group of Adult Students: presentation of an Experiential Workshop”.

This is a presentation of the practical implementation of the Kakalidis Method in the context of adult education and specifically in a project that took place in a Second Chance School in Athens. Already with the announcement of the topic, the students had shown great interest and the participation exceeded all expectations!

So was all the work that took place, as the group worked with the Kakalidis method to approach three works of art – a poem, a film and a song – to delve into them, discovering their essence and finally to compose two literary texts based on their experience.

The methodology, the practical application and especially the results of the immersion with the Kakalidis Method as a personal experience and learning of the participating adult students were presented at the conference and described in the article!

Days filled with groups, discussões, meditative relaxations, creative meditations, compromissos pessoais, spiritual healing appointments, chorodromena and… a lot of joy were the 24-27 of May, when the President and a group of disciples of Omilos travelled to Istanbul to meet with our group there.

Members of the group, as well as new people who wanted to learn about the practical philosophy of Omilos, were all present!

They actively participated in everything, brought their issues to discuss with the President of Omilos both in the group and in personal meetings, asked their questions about the practical application of Omilos’s philosophy and about the new elements given to them, and all shared their experience of what we did together!

Joy, deeper awakening and activation, balance, strength, broadenibg, union with the group, calma, healing, are just some of what they told us.
